Frequently Asked Questions
Some of the frequently asked questions by our visitors
Members are asked to follow the dress code applied by Hendon Golf Club, and also to advise their guests of the code when playing the course or visiting the clubhouse.
In respect to the dress code, the club wishes to preserve a “smart but casual” approach to clothing, worn both on the course and in the clubhouse. Principally, members and guests should wear clothing that is designed for playing golf. However, the club recognises that "dress sense" is by nature, a highly subjective topic. Therefore, the club would appreciate your support in maintaining the following standards of dress while at the club.
- Members and visitors will wear smart casual attire in the clubhouse. Smart casual attire includes jeans of smart denim or any other material and of a uniform colour. Torn, multicoloured or ripped denim jeans are deemed unacceptable.
- Shorts: Tailored shorts may be worn at any time.
- Shirts: Gentlemen should tuck their shirts into their trousers and shorts.
- Shoes: Flip flops are not considered appropriate in the clubhouse.
- Caps: Caps should always be worn the correct way round (peak at the front, not at the back). All caps should be removed prior to entering the clubhouse.
The implementation of this dress code is primarily the responsibility of the management and staff of Hendon Golf Club. It is expected that this dress code will be effected with courtesy and common sense, especially towards guests and visitors. However, members, guests and visitors who knowingly disregard the club's dress code may be asked by a member of staff to leave or refrain from entering certain areas of the clubhouse.

What visitors think of Hendon
"An interesting course where accuracy is more important that length. The course was in great shape considering the lack of rainfall recently. Some bunkers are hard packed. A few fairways are used for lessons and you play through these. Pace of play was excellent as we were sent off ahead of a members event. Looking forward to going again."
